Screen legend Cloris Leachman gives a masterful final starring performance in this bittersweet family drama as an old woman in rural Prince Edward County, Ontario whose mental and physical decline means she may soon be moved to a nursing home. Into her uncertain future comes her wayward grandson who is himself a bit at loose ends. Reeling from a recent breakup and struggling to make ends meet as a budding drag queen named Fishy Falters, he has shown up on his grandmother’s doorstep to retrieve a car she had promised him years ago. He lingers to care for her, however, and soon discovers that this may well be the place to finally put down roots.
