July Spirits Class - Vodka

Join us Thursday, July 9th at Splash Seafood Bar & Grill for our next Spirits Class as we explore the fascinating world of Vodka.
Measured by either revenue or volume, Iowans consume more vodka than any other type of distilled alcohol, yet it remains one of the most misunderstood spirits. What makes a vodka "Premium" or "Ultra-Premium"? Does the starch source matter? Pot still or column still? Why does the number of distillations matter? What are the different styles and characteristics that separate one vodka from another?
Throughout the evening, we'll dive into these spirited questions and more while tasting and discussing a variety of vodkas from around the world.
The class will be led by Splash Seafood's own Rex Schulze, Master Mixologist and Sommelier. Rex brings years of experience in spirits, wine, and hospitality, making this an educational and entertaining experience for both casual vodka drinkers and seasoned enthusiasts alike.
