Join seasoned Artist Rachelle Dusting and immerse yourself in this 3 day oil portrait workshop with a focus towards realistic painting.
About this Event

Portrait Painting Intensive is a 3 day workshop intensive with Perth fine artist Rachelle Dusting, designed as a step-by-step guide to creating a portrait similar to Rachelle’s painting style in realism. Refine your understanding of tone, value and temperature with three days of uninterrupted painting time.
This workshop is a great extension of Rachelle's past workshops, as well as exploring the basics of oil painting in mixing colour and how to use oil paint materials. Students will paint from a number of photo references and consolidate their learnings in one resolved painting. The intensive is both beginner and intermediate friendly.

Description:

Rachelle will walk participants through methods she adapts to in the studio and choices of materials. This 3 day painting workshop will allow students to explore portrait painting in a realistic way alongside likeminded creatives.

With over 9 years practice as a professional artist and tertiary level qualifications, Rachelle is as passionate about communication as she is about painting.

This workshop is a fantastic opportunity to pick the brains of a practicing artist in the arts industry, as well as gain valuable knowledge to a classic style of art making.

A Pop-Up Art Shop will be present on the final day of the workshop courtesy of Arts & Craft world Morely.

To refresh and inspire your painting practice
