Dr. Ron Coleman“Cichlid Reproduction: Patterns and Processes”
Our own Dr. Ron will be making a house call for the PCCA with this interesting deep dive into the subject. As most of you know he has been the editor of the Cichlid Communique for years and has studied cichlid eggs for a very long time. Here is a bit more about Dr. Ron if you don't know him yet. #
"I am a Professor of Biological Sciences at California State University, Sacramento where my students and I study the evolutionary ecology of fishes, particularly cichlid fishes. We are particularly interested in their reproductive biology, parental care, and geographic distribution. We like to combine lab work with field work in Central America.
Equally important, I have been a cichlid hobbyist for almost 50 years. I am a member of the Pacific Coast Cichlid Association (PCCA), American Cichlid Association (ACA) and a lifetime member of the Sacramento Aquarium Society. I am the Editor of the Cichlidae Communique for the PCCA. I served as the webmaster for the ACA for many years and currently serve on the Board of Directors. My favorite cichlid is Tomocichla tuba, though I have many, many second favorites."
