JULY Needlepoint 102: Learn Basketweave

The next step after learning the basics in your needlepoint journey! Bring your own Work in Progress and learn to master basketweave!
About this Event

This class is the next step for those who already know the basics of needlepoint or have taken our level one "Learn to Needlepoint" class before. Bring your own project or choose the "add-on" option to purchase the kitted Geraldine and Virginia Butter Bookmark. (13 mesh projects recommended, Penelope canvas not recommended.)

This time of instruction will include two hours working closely with needlepoint experts to learn how to do the basketweave stitch!

A small basketweave practice canvas, threads, and detailed instructional handouts will be provided to all students in attendance. Caitlyn from Geraldine and Virginia will lead the class along with the help of the incredible staff at Stitchers.

Stitchers are asked to come prepared with their own needlepoint project (13 mesh is preferred), needlepoint accessories, and preferred tools. Stitchers Memphis is offering a 10% discount on class night. If you'd prefer, choose the add-on option and a Butter bookmark project and DMC floss will be provided for you!

This class is perfect for those who already know the basics of threading a needle, how to do the tent stitch, and are ready for the next level. Basketweave is known as the most durable stitch that provides the best coverage for needlepoint canvases. This is a great opportunity for stitchers to meet other needlepointers and master the art of basketweave in a supportive and fun environment!
