July Free Tree Walk: Salve Regina University
About this Event
The beautiful seaside campus of Salve Regina University possesses an impressive collection of specimen trees, and is accredited as a level 2 Arboretum by the Morton Arboretum’s ArbNet. Join NTC Living Collection’s manager Joe Verstandig for a stroll through the heart of the arboretum, and enjoy some interesting information on the species and cultivars that reside there. Some highlights include numerous ancient beech trees, Japanese maples, lindens, and host of interesting and mature conifers. Please dress and prepare for walking in warm weather.
Parking: Leroy Ave.
Meeting Spot: intersection of Leroy Ave and Ochre Point Ave.
Registration is required and will open on May 10, 2024. This program involves walking/standing for the duration of the event. Please dress appropriately for the weather conditions.
