In this trunk show and lecture, Beth will share her passion for modern quilting as a powerful medium for self-expression, storytelling, and the exploration of modern design principles. She will discuss her creative process and how she uses elements of modern quilting design such as bold use of color, negative space, improvisation, alternate grid work, and modern traditionalism in her work. WORKSHOP - See Through the Layers: A Shadow Appliqué Workshop
Discover the power of subtlety and transparency in your quilt design! In this workshop, students will explore the fun and versatile technique of shadow appliqué to create compositions that reveal and conceal in all the right places. Students will experiment with sheer fabrics, bold shapes, and playful layering to add depth, contrast, and intrigue to your work.
