For our July meetup, urban conservationist, Jack Titchener, will explain the impact of Oklahoma's Yard by Yard: Community Resiliency Project on soil health and water quality starting at the neighborhood level. Even if you own just a small lot in town, your conservation efforts and gardening practices can make a big difference not only for your own household, but also for the community at large. Jack will focus on soil health through composting and use of mulch, water conservation through various methods, providing habitats for pollinators, growing native plants and food without the use of synthetic pesticides or herbicides, and more. Come and learn about the program and how adopting these practices can save you time and money while you enjoy a thriving, nature-friendly yard.
RSVP NEEDED BY TUESDAY, JULY 16TH.
As usual, we will share a casual pot luck meal that celebrates the groundbreaking work of Dr. Weston A. Price and the Principles of the Weston A. Price Foundation (pastured meats, fermented veggies, organic produce, raw dairy, pastured eggs, fermented beverages, etc.). If you have any questions about food, please reach out to Joanna at [email protected] or message the Weston A. Price Tulsa Chapter Facebook page (this page).
Don't forget to RSVP by Tuesday, July 16th: Email Joanna at [email protected] to reserve your spot!
