On July 15th, our beloved Cecilia Gonzalez returns to teach at Bailonga! A phenomenal dancer and extraordinary instructor, Cecilia is one of Eugene’s favorite tango guests. She has traveled the world but always makes time in her schedule for her tango friends in Eugene!

“Well respected by the tango community in Buenos Aires, she has taught and danced at numerous festivals around the world. Along the way she has partnered with some of the most famous tangueros of her generation: Osvaldo Zotto, Fabian Salas and Mariano ‘Chicho’ Frumboli, to name a few. The technical precision, fluidity, and elegance of her movements and notable capacity of improvisation characterize her dance.”
Cecilia will be teaching an intermediate class on the topic of her choice, and we'll also have a From Zero class teacher on hand in case of any brand new folks.
DJ Greg will be providing us a night of traditional music with a nuevo twist. Cecilia will also be teaching a series of workshops over the weekend of the 18th so watch eugenetango.com for more details!
Cost for this special event will be a flat $10 but as usual, a desk shift gets you free entrance, the free passes given at Jump Into Tango apply to this event, and no one will be turned away due to lack of funds.

Reminders:
• Masking is not required but encouraged, and there will always be masks and hand sanitizer available at the front desk.
• Due to recent thefts at the Vet’s Club and in the parking lot, it’s recommended that you keep your valuables close by. You’re welcome to store them by the stage or behind the divider for extra security.
• No street shoes, please — they can damage the floor. Please bring clean non-marking footwear such as dance shoes or sneakers. Thanks!
• A 30-minute desk shift gets you in for free! First come first served to sign up for shifts, but there are virtually always open slots available.
• Please avoid fragrances/perfumes. Some of us are allergic. Thank you!
New to our event? We are a friendly, casual, fun group of Argentine tango dancers who love to learn, experiment and dance to good music. On most nights, you’ll dance tango to a mixture of traditional, Nuevo and alternative (non-tango that’s fun to dance to) music and make sure to make it to our live music events and special guest instructors hosted multiple times a year. We would love to introduce you to Argentine Tango in Eugene, Oregon!
