Sacred Grounds Coffeehouse July 11, 2026 – Walter Miller & Rich Scher
Walter Miller started writing songs in 2007. He performed with Phil Hatchett in a duo called “Dackel” (cute German name for dachshund). Dackel and Walter played a mix of cover songs and songs written by Walter (Rockin’ Americana Blues) at many venues and festivals in North Carolina, including Sacred Grounds. In May, 2025 Walter’s CD “Dackel’s Midnight Special” was released. The CD features acoustic versions of 17 songs written by Walter and one traditional song (Midnight Special).
Rich Scher is a songwriter from Chapel Hill whose brand of Southern Folk with a Northern Edge can take listeners into the embrace of an old friend or lover, keep them company while traveling alone down a country back road with the AM radio playing, and sometimes into a dark corner of the attic on a moonless night.
The Coffeehouse opens at 6:30pm; concerts start at 7:30pm. Each concert, beverages and desserts are all by donation! Please come and enjoy all of this amazing live music!
