Juliette Powell Memorial

This summer, the world lost a bright spot of sunshine. Speaker, consultant, business advisor, author, thinker, educator, pioneer, ethicist, futurist, media expert, MC, VJ, Columbia University graduate, and friend Juliette Powell left us too soon. Please join us for a brief celebration of her life on Monday, October 20, 2025.

If you would like to say a few words, we would welcome that. Please prepare to speak from the heart about your appreciation for Juliette, for no more than 3 minutes.

Juliette had friends from all over the world, and everyone is welcome. We have researched several hotels where we believe you will feel comfortable. There is no group rate. Budget options include the Carlton Arms on 25th and 3rd, Untitled at 3 Freeman Alley, the American Dream Bed and Breakfast at 24th and 3rd. For market rate options, try Moxy NYC East Village on 11th between 3rd and 4th, or Freehand New York on Lexington between 23rd and 24th. For a corporate rate, the Hyatt Union Square New York on 13th St and 4th Ave is the closest hotel.

We'll meet courtesy of Civic Hall at 124 East 14th St., 3rd Floor. There are 2 doors for 124; find the more Eastern door marked "Civic Hall", between Time Out Market and Zero Irving.

Please wear whatever you feel most comfortable in, whatever you happen to be wearing that day, or something that reminds you of Juliette.

For those who simply cannot make it, we will try to livestream the event on a Zoom, where people can speak virtually afterwards. However, we hope that you will join us in person. We want to see you, and mourn together with you.
