New music from one of Australia’s leading saxophonists and improvisers. This brand new band will feature rhythmelodic music Julien has been formulating and cultivating for the last three years. Anchored in ancient rituals and inspired by new connections and fresh approaches; Melodies spawned from rhythmic seeds; Harmonies derived from pulses; Audio Escher-sketches designed to reflect the beauty and balance of the natural world, and offer a portal to the infinite, through a focus on the microscopic. Ones and zeros dancing with fearless abandon through misty rainbows. Quarks and protons. Conch shells and clouds. Waterfalls and deep pools. Beating heat from the sun, and cool sea breezes.
