On his latest album, Scenes From Above (2026), he performs with a new quartet: bassist Jorge Roeder, drummer Kenny Wollesen and keyboardist John Medeski. With these musical companions in mind, Lage wrote one tune after another, drawing inspiration from Bartók’s Hungarian folk songs, Susana Baca and the blues. With this outstanding quartet, Lage will live up to every expectation.
