An evening of blues dancing with Jane Tibbetts & Lenny Sharlet!
$5 suggested donation
O'Connell's Pub has great food and drinks. Drinks are allowed upstairs in Jack's Joint, but food is discouraged. Come earlier to eat beforehand, please.
7-8: Intro to Blues dancing lesson: Dancers of all levels are welcomed.
8-9:30: Social dance to D.J.'d music: Stick around and try out your new partnered blues dancing skills.

No worries, come check it out.
- Did you take the workshop with Jamica Zion but haven't had a chance to try out your new moves and grooves?
Then dust off those dancing shoes and get out to Jack's Joint.
Dance shoes of course are not required.

All skill levels are welcomed. No partner required.
Come learn a bit about Blues dances which are a family of Black American vernacular dances, danced to a variety of blues music.
Blues dance is used as an umbrella term for dance styles that are linked by shared aesthetics, as well as techniques rooted in Black American traditions and historical context.
We'll have music by greats such as:
Champion Jack Dupree
Freddie King
Marquise Knox
Buddy Guy
Charlie Musselwhite
Lou Rawls
Gait MacDermot
Bobby Bland
and so many more!
