About this Event
Through slides and a short film, Judith Ivry will describe her work as an independent bookbinder. Start with a short BBC film about her practice, followed by a Powerpoint discussion about the work she does and the various projects for which she has been commissioned.

About the Speaker
Judith Ivry has been an independent bookbinder and book conservator for over 35 years. She operates her bindery in downtown Manhattan and has worked with countless collectors, publishers, artists, museums, libraries and galleries throughout North America.
After receiving her MFA from Syracuse University, she completed the Diploma Program in Craft Bookbinding and Book Conservation at the London College of Printing. Judith has taught and lectured on a variety of bookbinding styles and techniques, as well as serving as a consultant on many book related projects.
