We are looking to gather perspectives from diverse residents, workers, academics, government officials, recreators, and leaders from the Greater New Haven and Long Island Sound coastal community. Individuals are encouraged to apply if they hold local, traditional, indigenous, or practical knowledge about our waters and shoreline, including:
- Shellfishers, commercial and recreational fishermen
- Indigenous and traditional knowledge holders
- Local coastal residents and community advocates in frontline neighborhoods (e.g., Fair Haven, City Point, East Shore)
- Local environmental justice organizers
- Small business owners tied to the coastal economy
No prior experience is required, just your lived experience and perspectives! Free coffee, snacks, and lunch will be provided. Participants will also be able to enter a raffle for the chance to win fresh LIS oysters.
