HTI is hosting a direct hiring event seeking Maintenance Team Leads, Maintenance Technicians, Team Leads, and Production Technicians for the JTEKT location in Piedmont, SC. JTEKT is one of the largest steering systems, driveline components, bearings and machine tools manufacturers in the world. JTEKT is a leading systems and development partner to the automotive and industrial markets. Interested candidates will need to pass a background check and drug screening.

MAINTENANCE TEAM LEAD
REQUIREMENTS
– High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in industrial maintenance or a related field preferred
– Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in industrial maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role
– Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems
– Strong understanding of PLCs, CNC machinery, and other automated equipment
– Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics
– Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to lead a team effectively
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills
– Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed
RESPONSIBILITIES
– Perform and oversee routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of industrial equipment, including conveyors, hydraulic systems, and CNC machinery
– Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues to minimize downtime and improve efficiency
– Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to extend equipment life and reduce unexpected failures
– Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and equipment upgrades
– Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, parts used, and equipment status
– Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and regulations, fostering a safe working environment for all employees
– Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment as required
– Lead continuous improvement initiatives and training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the maintenance team

MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
REQUIREMENTS
– Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school, preferred
– Minimum 3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience, without Associate's or technical degree
– Advanced troubleshooting, mechanical, electrical, and fabrication experience. Ability to train and assist other
– Ability to understand PLC ladder logic to identify trouble on production equipment
– Ability to use fabrication equipment including metal shear, metal brake, saws, drills and other common tools
– Welding skills including MIG, TIG and stick for machine repair and or improvements is a plus
RESPONSIBILITIES
– Read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings
– Thorough knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics. Ability to repair replace or modify systems
– Replace bearings, bushings, slides and any other machine components. Troubleshoot & replace pumps and motors
– Troubleshoot and maintain air compressor, chiller, evaporator, and coolant systems
– Troubleshoot & repair servo amplifiers and motors with minimal assistance
– Troubleshoot and maintain CNC turning centers and grinders. Able to make machine backups
– Ability to train and assist others with daily maintenance activities. Assist project crew & facilities when required
– Troubleshoot VFD’s and motors
– Ordering parts, scheduling, etc. with little assistance from supervisor
– Troubleshooting and analyzing machinery after rebuild or refurbish
– Maintain 5s in all maintenance and facility areas. Organize spare parts with maintenance/rebuild shops

TEAM LEAD
REQUIREMENTS
– High School Diploma or GED
– Able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
– Ability to work flexible hours
– Ability to use problem solving approaches
– Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations and ergonomics
– Excellence in attendance and verbal/written communication skills
– Proficient computer skills
– Knowledge of various inspection techniques
– Knowledge of quality systems, gauging and close tolerance measurement
– Conduct team member evaluations
– Able to perform in a team environment
– Support company policy
– Ability to work overtime and any shift as needed
RESPONSIBILITIES
– Provide leadership to the department
– Lead improvement activities for quality, delivery, safety and cost
– Assure quality, production, safety/environmental standards, 5S are met
– Schedule manpower and relieve operator when needed
– Conduct meetings as necessary
– Record daily information, such as, time and attendance
– Assist in identifying training and development needs for department team
– Support company policy and administer fairly and consistently
– Investigate, solve and report on product or process problems
– Assist in preparing departmental procedures/processes
– May perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned by management.

PRODUCTION TECHNICIAN
REQUIREMENTS
– High School Diploma or GED
– Prior Machining Experience
– Demonstrated ability to properly use various gauging equipment
– Prior machining experience
– Knowledge of equipment condition check sheets and required documentation
– Able to perform preventive maintenance as required by the P.M. schedule
– Able to perform required quality checks and to troubleshoot sort stops
– Problem solving and decision making skills
– Able to cross train on all lines
– Demonstrate and support the JTKET philosophy and policies
– Willingness to learn, master new tasks, policies and procedure in a timely manner
– Demonstrated initiative and ability to work without the need for constant direction/supervision
– Proven ability to contribute toward the success of the team and the company
– Proficient English communication skills
– Regular and punctual attendance is required
RESPONSIBILITIES
– Drive and lead team in 5S
– Relieve Team Lead as needed
– Perform preventative maintenance are required by the schedule
– Troubleshot sort stops and perform required quality checks
– Operate and maintain various equipment at an acceptable level with emphasis on quality, IATF 16949 standard, safety/environmental, 5S and productivity
– Operate and maintain automated and semi-automated equipment in a high-volume production environment
– Able to communicate and perform in a fast paced, team environment with a positive outlook in communication and conduct with others
– Adherence to all company policies and procedures
– Flexible to work in any area of operation/shift as needed
– Travel as needed
– May perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned by management.
