JR STEM Club K-3 Edina Countryside Elementary

ump into an exciting new year with all-new lessons! Whether you're a new or returning student, the Engineering For Kids Jr. Makers Club offers hands-on, engaging activities each week to spark curiosity and creativity. Students will explore engineering concepts while developing essential 21st-century skills like problem-solving, critical thinking, and teamwork, building confidence to tackle challenges in and out of the classroom.
Lessons will include:
• Aerospace Paper Rockets - Design and launch a paper rocket, then test different launch angles to see which sends it the farthest.
• Civil Engineering Take A Seat - Explore civil engineering principles and build a chair strong enough to hold a test weight.
• Environmental Engineering Goin’ Fishin’ - Learn how food chains work and build your own fishing game to put it into practice.
• Acoustic Engineering Buzzing Bee Hummer - Learn how insects make sound and build a bee hummer that buzzes like the real thing.
• Mechanical Engineering Mini Scooter - Build a working mini scooter and learn how wheels and axles turn rotation into motion.
• Aerospace Engineering Bernoulli's Toy - Explore Bernoulli's principle by building your own levitation toy.
