About this Event

Let’s Go Outside with
Jr Refuge Ranger Outdoor Adventure Camps
at St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge

Are your children craving some adventure this summer? If so, we have the answer. Let them spend some time exploring St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge through the Jr. Refuge Ranger Outdoor Adventure Camps. Camps are full of fun and educational outdoor activities. These exciting Day Camps are offered to children who have successfully completed the appropriate grade levels listed below by May of 2024.

Three camps will be offered this year. Applications must be received via eventbrite or in the refuge office by 4 pm on April 19, 2024. A random drawing will take place to select participants from the pool of applicants. Those drawn will be notified by email or phone. If drawn for a camp there is a non-refundable $25 registration fee, which will be due by May 10, 2024. A maximum of 10 participants will be chosen per camp. Campers will need to bring a bag lunch and a refillable water bottle to camp. Snacks will be provided.

Session 3: June 6-7, 9 am to 1 pm, Grades K-1.

Jr. Refuge Range camp is sponsored by the Friends of St. Marks Wildlife Refuge. For more information contact Lori Nicholson, Education Specialist, St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge at 850-925-4825.

A Drawing from all applicants from Eventbrite and in person, will take place for each session on Apil 20, 2024. Once camp participants are drawn registration packets will be sent. All registration packets and non-refundable registration fee for those drawn must be received in the office (not postmarked) by 4 pm on May 10, 2024. If not another child will be drawn for that place.

We expect selected campers to participate in all camp activities, in order to fully experience and enjoy wildlife -dependent recreational opportunities provided. In addition, should a behavior or discipline problem affect our work with other campers or their enjoyment of camp, we reserve the right to dismiss those campers responsible, without a refund.
