Hello Friends,Your friendly neighborhood video game music band, Joystick Drift, is performing Saturday May 4, 2024 11am-1pm at Ritz Park on South Grand Blvd. Free to the Public.
This is only a portion of Steve's Hotdogs 'May the Fourth Be With You' outdoor festival event which is a celebration along with Apotheosis' Free Comic Book Day.
The band this time will feature a themed musical selection from a certain movie series... hmm I wonder what it might be? You'll have to come find out I guess.

The majority of our music will be video game tunes played as funk/neosoul. You can find a short mix of our repertoire on youtube (check my page @nappysax for a link).
May the 4th is a classic celebration spurred by the pun 'May the Fourth be with you' that has been observed in geek-culture yearly since Star Wars: A New Hope was released in 1977(just about). Free Comic Book Day happens to be the 1st Saturday of May, this year it's the 4th as well. What a coincidence!
After our performance will be a series of events to continue the festivities
-2pm Galactic Trivia inside Steve's Hot Dogs.
-3pm Costume Contest (get your Wookie suits out!)
Steve's Hotdogs is serving Cantina Cocktails with bites ALL-DAY to feed all you nerf-herders.
We can't wait to play for everyone on a beautiful May 4th, the show will get moved inside if we get rain, so it'll be a guaranteed good time!
