Woohooo! Unexpectedly ?, Joyful Jammers is open for auditions! ? I've decided not to go away for winter so you can join for this (mostly IRL, online also available)
This is for you who has longed to play music for a long time but for whatever reason, hasn’t made it happen. ?
Perhaps you love to sing and wish you could accompany yourself on an instrument. ?
Perhaps you have a guitar sitting in your living room but it’s hard to get over that initial learning hump so that you can enjoy playing. ?
Perhaps you’re not sure what instrument you want to learn! ?‍?
Or you’re like me and love the idea of being a musical “all-rounder” who can play many instruments. ?
I never did specialise in any one instrument apart from vocals.
And I get really excited about music, haha! ??
Which means that I play a lot of instruments pretty well.
And I really love that! It means I can build up my songs with all the instruments I want! ?
I can be versatile in the jams. ?
And my apartment looks like a magical menagerie of musical instruments ✌️
So if you just wanted to learn guitar, or piano, I wouldn’t recommend myself. ?
But if you want to get onboarded into music and learn several instruments while having a lot of fun and starting to jam and write your own songs from the outset-
I can sing it loud: I AM YOUR GAL! ??‍♀️
We have so much fun in joyful jammers!
And while we put more focus on fun, feeling and flow, you’ll still learn enough to play and write hundreds of songs.
It’s a joy to do this every week and watch the joyful jammers grow as musicians.
And it can be you, too!
I’m talking about
? Feeling confident to join in the jams, have fun and connect with ppl through music
? Having a beautiful way to relax and spend time with yourself
? Claiming the space at the festival, or gathering of friends, or open stage to get up there and play a song. Maybe even an original song that you wrote!!
? Activating your creative genius with music so you can show up more like YOU in every day life too
So, hm, how do I know about this deep longing-
Well, because you got the music in you! I do, too. It’s in our blood. ?
And something I’m really, really passionate about is more people feeling welcomed into the realm of music.
Here’s what I think: there’s no such thing as a “real musician”.
You don’t need to have gone to a conservatoire, or signed a record deal, or passed an exam to get to play and write and perform all the gosh darn music you want to.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
In my Joyful Jammers program, you get confident playing guitar, percussion, keyboard and vocals (song and rap) in just 15 weeks ??
“How the schmeck are we gonna do that?”, I hear you say.
Well, we’re going to stick to 1 chord progression (3-4 chords) and 1-2 percussion beats per 5 week cycle.
You’ll get really comfortable with the material over a 5-week cycle because we’re going to use each chord progression and percussion beat in all sorts of different and fun ways.
By the end of the program, you’ll have several chord progressions and percussion beats under your belt: more than enough to play many hundreds of songs on several different instruments.
PLUS, you’ll have learned the way music was always supposed to be played: with the focus on the FUN and the FEELING. And you’ll be jamming and performing from the get go.
PLUS, each of the instruments you’ll learn plays into the others. What you learn in each one will support what you learn in the others. Musical symbiosis, babyyyyy ??
PLUS, you’ll be part of a music family where we all are committed to living as real musicians…
I’ll also throw in some music theory in a fun way!
And, you won’t just be learning. You’ll be learning how to learn.
By the end of the 15 week program, you’ll have enough of a skill set to just relax, feel confident and have fun making and performing music.
Music will be integrated into your life and you’ll keep learning as you go.

HOW MUCH TIME WILL I NEED TO SPEND ON THE PROGRAM PER WEEK?
Of course, the more time you spend, the better results you will have. I would expect you to spend a minimum of 4 hours per week on average to keep up with the program: 90 minutes for the lives plus an average 2.5 hours of practice/self-study spread through the week (there is catch-up time during the 5th week of a “cycle”, see below).
You’ll have the chance to pair up with an accountability buddy and practise together!
The sky’s the limit, though. And the more ALL-IN- energy you bring in committing to this, the more you’ll be rewarded. ??

WHAT'S INCLUDED?
There are different access levels at different price points.
Features of the program include:
? Weekly lives (12 IRL and 3 Online)
? Online forum for community, questions and feedback
? Weekly check-in and check-out for accountability
? Self-study online platform for learning and practice
? Weekly homework, with or without detailed feedback (video or audio submission)
The main events are the weekly lives on Thursday early evenings in Gamla Stan, Sthlm, from 15:45-17:15. We start Thursday 13th June!
The weekly lives are based on 5 different themes per 5-week “cycle”.
1. Learn chord progression; Learn 1-2 djembe rhythms (new members join)
2. Singing/rap
3. Jam using the chord progression + djembe rhythms
4. Open stage
5. Integration & sharing (online)
The first 4 lives in the cycle are in person in Stockholm!

The 5th week is a time to practice, catch up with any self-study you missed in weeks 1-4, and maybe write a song!
We have an online session in the 5th week to meet and talk about your progress in the program and ask for any extra support you need.
