JOY RIOT is Sarah Burgundy (drums/vocals), Heather Good (vocals/drums/keys), Kate Hewson (guitar/vocals), Emilie Schada (vocals/keys), and Jenny Wallskog (bass/vocals). Formed at the April 2025 Ladies Rock Camp in Madison, we wrote our first original song and performed it at High Noon Saloon over one weekend. We have been joyously jamming ever since in Sarah’s basement, in a park, at a Verona retreat center, and even on a pontoon! Our set for Make Music Day features a mix of covers and originals spanning a range of styles (Americana, classic rock, post-punk, New wave, indie/alternative).
