JOY OF MUSIC AFRICA (JOMA) 2024

Joy of Music Africa (JOMA) is a three-hour live music experience featuring an Afrocentric 35-man crew consisting of amazing singers, dancers, and dramatists. The music focuses on cosmopolitan, Afrocentric sounds – pure and fusion African vibes, set to fire by a contemporary, youthful energy. We’ll take you as far back as the 70s and then to the most recent global Afrocentric/Afrofusion sounds. You will experience pure joy from the performances of evergreen hits, as well as self-composed works from the best talents at Tenstrings Music Institute – Nigeria's largest school of music.

The Freedom Park Lagos, where the event is held, is a reputable arts and culture center with the capacity to hold a large number of fans and provide extensive value-added leisure and experiences: art galleries, gardens, fountains, and fish ponds; restaurants, bars and lounges, live venues and theatre facilities; and a repository of cultural and historic relics. As a former colonial Pr*son facility turn leisure and entertainment destination, it holds such a robust story and values that corroborate all that great music stands for. Located on Broad Street, Lagos, it is central to the Island and Mainland parts of Lagos and offers a family-oriented and secure ambiance. The park is a renowned tourist destination which attracts 100s of visitors daily.
