Joy is an Act of Resistance

Join us for Joy is an Act of Resistance, a morning of celebration and appreciation for HSC members and the broader nonprofit community! This event is open to all nonprofit professionals in the Columbus area and is generously hosted by the Washington Gladden Social Justice Park.
Why We're Gathering
Every day, nonprofit professionals, social workers, advocates, educators, healthcare workers, and community leaders care for others and help carry our community through its greatest challenges. This event is a chance to celebrate the people who spend their lives making a difference.
As many in our community are also carrying heavy hearts right now, we are especially grateful for opportunities to gather, support one another, and make space for both joy and healing. We hope this morning offers a chance to connect with colleagues, reflect, and be reminded that you are not alone.
What to Expect
There is no formal program—just an opportunity to enjoy breakfast, music, games, art, reflection, and simple moments of joy and connection before heading to work. Come and go as your schedule allows while experiencing the Park as a space for inspiration, dialogue, healing, and community.
Families are welcome! If bringing your child makes it easier to join us, we'd love to have them. The Park features a playground where kids can play while you enjoy the morning.
