Journeying with Natural Colors

A hands-on workshop to celebrate the nature around us and the nature within us. From exploring the natural materials like plants and soil to making them into beautiful colors, we will move on to explore our inner colors and allow them to flow, with the soothing sounds of drum.

This workshop will be in two parts, the first being hands-on learning and creation of colors from nature, led by Nanditha

During that time, you will understand and learn:

- Sustainable ways collect local materials for paint making

- Extracting natural pigments from plants, rocks and soil

- How to make inks and watercolors using traditional techniques

- Creating multiple colors from single source

- Natural preservatives and storage methods

- Application of natural paints on various surfaces

In the second part of the workshop, you will be taken into an inner journey on the sounds of the drum, by Leya. Here, you will find and explore your own inner colors with the guidance of the colors that you have made and co-create an artwork with natural paints.

At the end of the session, you would have experienced the knowledge to create your own colors from nature and also found your own wild and vibrant colors.
