About Melissa: A lifelong native of the Adirondacks, I now call Saratoga Springs, NY home. My journey with movement began over a decade ago when I discovered JourneyDance™ during a rest retreat at Kripalu. From the moment I experienced it, I knew it was something I wanted to keep in my life.
What drew me in—and keeps me inspired—is that JourneyDance™ is free of steps and free of judgment. It invites you to be fully present, to move with intention, and to connect deeply with your body. I truly believe there’s a kind of magic in music and movement that works on a cellular level. It helps release tension, unlock emotions, and reveal what’s living beneath the surface.
As a JourneyDance™ facilitator, I love holding space where others can feel safe, let go, and have fun—because healing can be joyful too.
