Adult beginner handstand workshop Join me in the Journey to a handstand
We will start with basic wrist and shoulder warm ups
Core exercises
Basic balance exercise
Overcome fear of falling
Leaning how to fall safely.
Slowly progress into the handstand.
I hour £10 per person
Please bring a yoga mat, a water, and a mind set to have fun.
The Journey to handstand workshop will teach you conditioning, flexibility and body strengthening exercises and the drills to work towards the development of a strong handstand.
This workshop is run by Andy Billington, a qualified personal trainer
Andy trained many years in boxing and self defence but now specialising in abdominal, handstand balance and body weight training calisthenics - a form of exercise that uses a person’s bodyweight and requires little or no equipment. Examples of calisthenics exercises include push ups, sit ups, and squats, there are many health benefits to calisthenics and most people can start exercising right away.
This workshop is aimed at adult beginners; Andy will teach the basics to help you build the foundations to develop a strong handstand.
Learn how to
Let go of your fears by allowing yourself to be upside down as well as exercises for core strength.
Confidently and safely enter and exit a handstand
·Do drills that will allow you to practice your handstand and take it to the next level.
