Journey to Dreamseeds: A Collaborative Artmaking Experience

You are invited to spend time dreaming, connecting, making with Sanahara Ama Chandra and Hannah Brancato. During this afternoon-long workshop, we'll be sharing stories of possibilities for a powerful future – one that we may not even get to see and experience ourselves.

You can expect to meditate, co-create sound, be in conversations in groups and pairs and journal. We will also be making paper, and creating sunprints. Anyone who identifies as an artist, activist, healer or visionary is welcome!! No art or music making experience is necessary! Children are invited.

The artworks and conversations from this workshop will be woven together for Dreamseeds, an installation of textiles, sound, and interactive components that invites current and budding activists and visionaries in Baltimore to develop visions for the future, at Gallery CA, October 7-November 11, 2022.

Here is our growing manifesto about this workshop and project:

• Through this workshop and exhibition, we are seeding the future. We believe that what we put out into the air will have an impact on our material realities.
• We believe that from all of our individual and collective experiences ranging from our points of pain to our points of bliss, we have inside of us sparks of ideas that are the seeds with which we can co-create a new world.
• The seeds that we tend to are the ones that will grow.
• We believe that when we seek joy, joy will find us. We see the future with moments of merrymaking and intentional joy.
  

During this one afternoon-long experience, what we would ask of you is:

• Your presence
• Your willingness to share your stories of past, present and hope for transformation through group interviews.
• Your participation in creating visual art and music together.
