? Dan Tani holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree in mechanical engineering from the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). ?

?‍? He has worked with top companies such as Hughes Aircraft Corporation, Bolt, Beranek and Newman, and Orbital Sciences Corporation before joining NASA in 1996. ?

? During his time at NASA, Dan Tani participated in numerous missions, including STS-108, NEEMO 2, and Expedition 16, where he completed five spacewalks or EVAs. ?

? After an illustrious career with NASA, Dan Tani moved on to become the Vice President of Mission and Cargo Operations at Orbital Sciences Corporation and later taught science, engineering, and design at the American School in Japan. ?
