Journey -Members of people who have substance or alcohol use disorder

Family group: this group meets weekly to help family member of a patient at JRC be more connected to their loved one's treatment. The goal is to help provide better understanding of addiction and how family members are able to best support their loved one while trying to recover. Topics covered are the disease concept, family support, enabling, communication skills, connection/disconnection, relapse, etc. We encourage family members to attend with the patient of our program, but they are welcome to come on their own as well if the patient does not want to come.
