Journaling and the Creative Mind a Workshop for Teens, Young Adults, and their Parents

Join us for an interactive workshop on Journaling and the Creative Mind!

Inspired by The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron, we will be exploring stream-of-consciousness writing, also known as morning pages, a helpful practice in opening up the creative flow inside of us.

We will also be introducing mindful meditation, gratitude practices, self-love, and self-confidence exploration through journal prompts and affirmation work.

The act of journaling can provide a safe space for teen's, young adults, and their parents to express their inner most feelings and emotions while achieving a sense of calm, clarity and renewed vision.

The workshop will begin with a guided meditation, followed by journaling practices, and concluding with a sharing circle.

Hosted by the 501c3 non-profit SEVA WITH LOVE and Led by Alison Ungaro

Alison holds a master's degree in Child Psychology and School Counseling, Additionally, she has had extensive studies in Art Therapy and holds certificates in Mindfulness and Meditation. Reiki, Yoga, and Sound Healing. Her interests are reflected in her non-profit, Uthrive Wellness Inc. which focuses on mental health and self-awareness. Alison as a parent and educator shares through her life experiences her love for wellbeing, mindfulness, and self-love. She is passionate about helping children discover their inner values thus providing them with the skills and understanding to lead a life of happiness, joy, and peace. Adults have been drawn to her as they seek inner peace, self-love, and freedom to express themselves in new ways.
