Explore new ways to journal, reflect, and support your mental wellness in this 𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐤𝐥𝐲 𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 with Buffalo Urban League.
Whether you're new to journaling or already have a practice of your own, there's always more than one way to put pen to paper.
Each week, a Community Wellness Specialist from the Buffalo Urban League will introduce a different journaling technique and guide the group through activities and discussion.
September's topics are:
𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟏𝟐: 𝐆𝐨𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠
Explore the purpose of journaling, how it can fit into your everyday routine, and ways to use it for setting goals.
𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟏𝟗: 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐝
Learn a matter-of-fact style of writing that can help you work through emotional blocks and look at what's going on from a different perspective.
𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟐𝟔: 𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐞-𝐖𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠
Explore a more open-ended style of journaling that takes the pressure off writing "the right thing" and gives you space to write freely.
Journaling 101 is 𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐝𝐫𝐨𝐩-𝐢𝐧, so you can come to one session or join us for all three. Journals will be provided, or you're welcome to bring your own.
Sessions are held 𝐒𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐝𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝟏𝟏 𝐀𝐌–𝟏𝟐 𝐏𝐌 at Coffee & Crochet, 2342 Seneca St., Buffalo.
