Journaling 101
About this Event
Whether you're new to journaling or already have a practice of your own, there's always more than one way to put pen to paper.
Each week, a Community Wellness Specialist from the Buffalo Urban League will introduce a different journaling technique and guide the group through activities and discussion.
September's topics are:
September 12: Goal Setting
Explore the purpose of journaling, how it can fit into your everyday routine, and ways to use it for setting goals.
September 19: Reporting Method
Learn a matter-of-fact style of writing that can help you work through emotional blocks and look at what's going on from a different perspective.
September 26: Free-Writing
Explore a more open-ended style of journaling that takes the pressure off writing "the right thing" and gives you space to write freely.
Journaling 101 is free and drop-in, so you can come to one session or join us for all three. Journals will be provided, or you're welcome to bring your own.
Sessions are held Saturdays from 11 AM–12 PM at Coffee & Crochet, 2342 Seneca St., Buffalo.
