JOSHUA POWELL
Joshua Powell is an artist from Indianapolis, IN, who handcrafts a strangely literate brand of psychedelic indie rock that manages to be simultaneously socially conscious and spiritually turbulent. With over 800 shows in over 40 states under his anachronistic studded belt, Powell blends the narrative richness of American folk with a heavy dose of hallucinatory swirl and a ghost note of ‘00s-vintage bedroom indie, all highlighted in ethereal falsetto by his purposeful, kaleidoscopic poetry. No Depression described Powell’s music as, “a crossroads of revival-in-the-river folk mysticism and barroom-ready guitar-driven rock with conscience and existential wonder.”
COYOTE KID
Cinematic is the word most often used to describe Minneapolis based Coyote Kid (FKA Marah in the Mainsail). The sound is dark and mysterious at it’s core. With layers upon layers of dynamic turns, from the hopeful highs of “Femme Fatale” to the guttural darkness of “Prowler’. Between Durry’s true grit voice, and Cassandra's tender subtlety, you’ll find a vast array of narrative and stylistic possibilities. With imposing and wild jungle drums, soaring brass horns, growling bass, and shimmering spaghetti western guitars. This band has all of the tools it needs to paint an epic picture.
