Please join us in this intimate wine and cheese event where Josh Deweese will give us an artist talk on his body of work and his history in the ceramics world.
If you are not familiar with his work, you are in for a treat and if you already know who Josh is, I'm sure you will not want to miss out on this chance to meet Josh, see his work, and enjoy an artist talk about his journey in clay.
I hope you will come and join us on Friday, October 3rd at 7pm to meet Josh and learn all that goes into him being a working clay artist. He is such a warm person and makes beautiful work. I am definitely looking forward to this event!
Artist work will be available for purchase if you wish to acquire a piece. Even if you are not looking to add to your collection, please come and deepen your understanding of what it looks like to be a working clay artist.
Josh's Short Bio:
Josh DeWeese is a ceramic artist and educator. He is currently a Professor of Art teaching ceramics at Montana State University in Bozeman, where he and his wife Rosalie Wynkoop have a home and studio. DeWeese served as Resident Director of the Archie Bray Foundation for the Ceramic Arts in Helena, Montana from 1992-2006. He holds an MFA from the New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred, and a BFA from the Kansas City Art Institute. DeWeese has exhibited and taught workshops internationally and his work is included in numerous public and private collections.
