About this Event
They say that a French vigneron may not know what style of wine they are making with their Chenin Blanc grapes until they harvest them. This key grape in French viticulture can make premium wines in the form of sparkling, dry white, off-dry white, orange, and dessert wines. In its native home of the Loire Valley, winemakers are given the freedom to choose between these styles based on the weather and vineyard conditions they experienced on any given vintage. Because of this, Chenin is one of the favored grapes for French vigneron across the country.
Join us for a casual seated wine class where we will discuss the production and growing regions of Chenin Blanc while we sip some a wide range of fine Chenin wines with our Wine Director, Erin Dudley, at Bar Jo!
Included with your ticket:
- Seated wine class with certified sommelier and Neighborhood Restaurant Group Wine Director, Erin Dudley CSW
- Tasting of six fine rosé wines
- Small serving of artisanal cheese and accoutrements from Chef Matt Cockrell
