Jorge Glem, Latin Grammy Award-winning and 2024 Grammy-nominated cuatro player, mandolin player and music producer, is undoubtedly one of Venezuela's musical treasures. In his purpose of showing the cuatro as a universal instrument, the internationally acclaimed Venezuelan cuatro player Jorge Glem presents us with a solo cuatro concert where he narrates, with the virtuosity and charisma that characterize him, the stories that have given rise to his compositions, as well as a diverse range of sounds from around the world. The Venezuelan cuatro, known for his harmonic richness and ability to adapt to various musical genres, will be the absolute protagonist of the evening.

His astonishing talent has allowed him to perform solo concerts for cuatro and orchestra with the acclaimed conductor Gustavo Dudamel and the prestigious Los Angeles Philharmonic, the SF Symphony, as well as with the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela, with whom he recently performed at the Edinburgh International Festival. All three performances were received with an exceptional standing ovation. In September 2022, Glem joined the ensemble of the celebrated composer and pianist Jon Batiste in the "American Symphony" concert, at Carnegie Hall in New York City. In addition, Glem has shared the stage with world-renowned figures such as Paquito D'Rivera, Jordan Rudess, Rubén Blades, Carlos Vives, Calle 13, Natalia Lafoucarde, Hamilton de Holanda, among others, managing to fuse the sounds of this traditional instrument with genres such as jazz, salsa, bluegrass, rock and pop.
