The Carleton welcomes the talented Jon Cyr back to our stage on Friday, August 14th, this time joined by his son, emerging country artist Donavan Cyr. The show gets underway at 8:00 pm and tickets are only $15 +HST.
Jon Cyr is a country artist from Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia, known for his powerful vocals, engaging performances, and genuine connection with audiences. Whether performing solo or with his band, Jon blends country, classic rock, East Coast favourites, and modern hits into shows that are tailored to each crowd. Influenced by artists such as Merle Haggard, Travis Tritt, Chris Stapleton, Luke Combs, and Zach Top, his music is rooted in storytelling and creating memorable experiences. A proud husband and father, Jon is passionate about sharing music with his family and giving back to his community.
Donavan Cyr, 25, was born and raised in Halifax, Nova Scotia. He grew up watching his father, Jon Cyr, perform across the Maritimes, which planted an early seed for music. Three years ago, during a navy deployment, his father gifted him a guitar in hopes he’d find some time to learn. What started with a few chords quickly turned into performing live shows and gaining unforgettable experiences through music.
