Join the Son Camp VI in East Cuba 2026 tour from Jan.19 / Feb.2, to Santiago & Baracoa, for an unique Cuban Son dance vacation with top Cuban dance assistants.
To boost your Son or Salsa dancing skills - With the very best that Santiago de Cuba and East Cuba can offer in Cuban Son teaching, dance assistants, -music, -culture and dance history - Combined with Cuban salsa, cha cha chá, mambo, bolero, rumba and afro. ❤️🎶💃🕺🎶
Also, it will be possible, for a limited number of participants, to join the tour, having a special Cuban Salsa program apart from the Cuban Son-program.
The Tour is organized by Salsa Camp Events in cooperation with the Yanek Revilla ABC Dance School in Santiago de Cuba.

The sign-up fee for the tour is 10.000 DKK / 1.390 euro for buying the flight-tickets to East-Cuba.

START FROM COPENHAGEN (Or other European city)
The tour starts from Copenhagen Airport Monday January 19th to Santiago de Cuba with an overnight in Madrid on the way back and forth to Cuba at the Ibis Madrid Airport Hotel. - And ends in Copenhagen Airport, Monday morning February 2.
It´s also possible to start from Oslo, Stockholm, Brussels and other European cities to gather and travel with the group from Madrid!
Further it´s possible to prolong the stay in Cuba on own hand and travel back from Santiago de Cuba or Havana

TENTATIVE TOUR PROGRAM
The General Tour Program will include 11 full days in Santiago and East Cuba with the possibility to visit the Eider Lopez Dance School in Baracoa.
The program is tentatively organized in the following 3 blocks:

BLOCK 1: Day 1-4 (Wednesday 21 – Saturday 25)
Dance program, cultural-, social- and own activities, including
- Welcome dinner & welcome party with Cuban Assistants
- Beach tour with Cuban Assistants
- 1 social night dancing with Cuban Assistants
- 8 hours of Son workshops (or salsa)
- 1 hours of culture workshop
BLOCK 2: Day 5-7 (Sunday 26 - Tuesday 28)
2½ day free for own activities as for example:
- Exploring Santiago de Cuba
- Beach tours and private dance lessons
- Excursion to the mountains
- Visit Baracoa and Eider Lopez Dance School (with Carl)
BLOCK 3: Day 7-11 (Tuesday 28 - Saturday 1)
Dance program, cultural- social- and own activities, including
- 1 social night dancing with Cuban assistants
- Beach afternoon tour with the group
- 8 hours of Son workshops (or salsa)
- 1 hours culture workshop
- Goodbye dinner and party with Cuban assistants

A TYPICAL DAY PROGRAM WILL BE
08.00-09.00: Common Breakfast
10.00-12.15: Dance workshop
12.15-14.00: Lunch time
14.00-17.00: Own activities (Private lessons, culture excursions, social relaxation)
18.00-20.00: Dinner time
21.00……..: Possibility social night dancing

THE DANCE- & CULTURE PROGRAM WILL INCLUDE:
- 16 hours of dance workshops with Cuban assistants.
- 2 hours of culture workshops
- Culture excursions with the Yanek ABC Dance School (Not programmed yet)
Yanek Revilla and his partner Yisel Cuba will be the main instructors for the Son dance teaching, where you will be divided in small groups, with your dance assistants, according, to your dance level in Cuban Son: Beginner, intermediate, advanced and very advanced.
With the objective, you all will get a boost in your social Son dancing skills combined with a better understanding of the Son musicality, culture and history.

ACCOMMODATION CASAS PARTICULARES (private housing)
You will be accommodated in private houses, Casas particulares, in the Santiago Town Center, which all have access to roof terraces. The Casas are situated nearby each other, from where you can walk around to all the central dance, music and cultural activities going on in Santiago.

COMMON START OF THE DAY
We will start every day together having a common group breakfast and morning meeting about the days program at the roof terrace in our main casa, where we also, will have the possibility to make roof top dance parties.

THE YANEK REVILLA ABC DANCE SCHOOL
Yanek Revilla and Yisel Cuba will be our hosts during our stay in Santiago. Yanek & Yisel have just graduated as Masters in Cuban Popular Dance from the ISA University in Santiago.
Yanek & Yisel are now, together with their dance company Sabor DKY and the ABC Dance School, one of the main actors and promotors of Cuban popular dances, culture and history in Santiago de Cuba.
Through the big experiences and contact network of Yanek and Yisel we will have a special “backstage access” to the many dance- and cultural companies, institutions and activities in Santiago. - With the unique possibility to get way deeper under the skin of the Cuban popular dance and music culture in Santiago de Cuba - And of the Cubans we will meet and learn to know during the tour. Which you just can look forward to!💥
