Thank you for choosing to participate in a community litter cleanup. The Great American Cleanup is a national campaign through Keep America Beautiful that focuses on community investment and beautification. Your participation helps protect parks, waterways and wildlife while improving the visual appeal of our cities. Make an impact by joining us for our largest annual community-wide cleanup!
Please arrive at 8:00 am to complete the waiver forms and collect your supplies. An adult must accompany children under 14 at all times. Register here https://anc.apm.activecommunities.com/experiencesouthlaketx/activity/search/detail/8472?onlineSiteId=0&from_original_cui=true&_ga=2.233437980.385141993.1714698077-1931214989.1714698077
Southlake GAC beautification activities will occur on two of the City's adoptable Adopt-A-Street program streets. Keep Southlake Beautiful staff members will be on-site at the Gateway Church parking lot to provide materials and tools! Volunteers can arrive at 8:00 AM to pick up their supplies and enjoy coffee and bagels with staff and volunteers. You will choose a street at registration and can then go to your designated cleanup location. Participants can return their litter bags, vests, and grabbers to the staff at the Gateway Church Parking Lot to be properly discarded after cleaning up. Participants must provide their transportation to and from Gateway and their cleanup locations!

What to Wear/Bring
Wear sturdy garden/work gloves (we provide disposable gloves).
Wear thick-soled, closed-toe shoes.
Wear a hat and light-colored shirt.
Wear long pants and long-sleeved shirts to avoid contact with poison ivy.
Wear sunscreen and bug repellant.
Bring a reusable water bottle and a light snack.
Use the buddy system. Always work in groups of two or more and exchange contact numbers if your group decides
to separate.
Watch your step and use
solid branches or stones to support yourself when walking over uneven and slippery surfaces.
Always wash your hands after a cleanup. During and after collecting litter, do not touch your face with gloved
hands or unwashed hands.
Have fun! A litter cleanup can be hard work, but still fun at the same time! Have a contest to see who can find the
strangest littered item or who can collect the most bags. Remember to take a moment and really see the beauty of
the parks and creeks.
