Join Biscayne National Park Institute for a meaningful day of conservation at the Boca Chita Key Debris Cleanup. This 3-hour volunteer experience takes you by boat from the Dante Fascell Visitor Center to one of the park’s most iconic islands, where you’ll help remove marine debris from sensitive coastal habitats. As you work alongside knowledgeable staff and fellow volunteers, you’ll play a direct role in protecting Biscayne’s shorelines, wildlife, and crystal-clear waters. After the cleanup, participants will return to the visitor center to unload the collected debris—completing a hands-on effort that makes a real impact on the park's health.
This experience is open to participants ages 12 and up (minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian) and involves physical activity, including walking on rocky terrain, lifting debris, and wading through shallow water.
