Dr. Joie Yasha Taylor is a passionate musician and a talented instrumentalist and jazz vocalist. Based in Maui, Joie Taylor has a storied history of live performances, musical arrangements, and professional recording sessions. With a professional career in Atlanta,GA, Ithaca, NY, India, and Maui she has toured the US and Europe. A jazz foundation as an undergraduate music minor with Clark Atlanta University Jazz Orchestra founded by Dizzy Gillespie with all completely original scores instilled in her with strong technique, reading, ear, passion and soul of Jazz. As a member of the CAU Jazz Orchestra she toured Europe and played the following jazz festivals in the year 2000: The Hague, Montreux, Jazz Vienne, Paris, Brussels, Rome, and Florence. She was also in concert as an orchestra member with Nancy WIlson, Gladys Night, Lou Rawls, Lalo Schifrin, and James Moody.
A native New Yorker who has spent substantial time performing in Polynesia, Mike Lewis has recently moved back to Hawai’i from the Pacific Northwest. He is the creator and band leader of Big Band Monday at Jazz Minds Honolulu and the Jazz Band Director at University of Hawaii. Fluent in jazz trumpet, lead trumpet, and recording studio work, his resume includes touring and recording with Buddy Rich, Sarah Vaughn, Sammy Davis, Wynton Marsalis, Sonny and Cher, Billy Joel, Natalie Cole, Rosemary Clooney, The Temptations, Tony Bennett, Gladys Knight, and Bruno Mars.
Tommy James, current musical director of the Duke Ellington Orchestra in New York, wild genius at the piano, and prolific arranger; Dean Taba, extraordinary and entertaining bassist; and Darryl Pellegrini, one of New York's hottest drummers who, luckily for Honolulu, has transplanted himself to Hawaii; are probably three of the most creative souls in Honolulu at this time.

The dinner-show price of $59.00 includes the fabulous show plus a delicious 4-course gourmet dinner. Medici's has taken many precautions to protect its patrons against illness, including UVC air purifiers, 8-foot tall industrial screens between tables and the stage, mandatory mask-wearing for all, and temperature checks at the door and frequent sanitizing of surfaces.
