The Traverse City Central Boys Basketball Team, coached by Luke Johnson, takes on Gaylord who is coached by Justin Johnson (whose son Carter is also a part of the team). The game will be officiated by brothers Tom Johnson, Steve Johnson, and Dave Johnson. Maybe the only time a game will include six relatives on all sides of the contest at once.The game also takes place in a gymnasium named after Jim Mongeau the father-in-law to Tom and grandfather to Luke.
The Johnsons have a long history in Gaylord High athletics and particularly basketball that stretches back to the 1960’s.
