Johns Hopkins Peabody Institute of Frederick Preparatory Open House

Join us for an open house evening of music / education events celebrating the opening of the John's Hopkins Peabody Institute of Frederick Preparatory. After thirty years the Maryland Talent Education Center (Phyllis Freeman) will merge with Peabody Preparatory to begin an outstanding new era for music education in the Frederick area!

Most events occur at the Y Center for the Arts - 115 East Church Street. Other locations and zoom events are noted below.

4:00 - 6:00 Instrument petting zoo for children ages 4-10 . Peabody faculty will guide students through an interactive experience with violin, cello, guitar and piano.

6:00 Intro to Guitar for Adults (ages 16 and up)

6:30-7:30 Peabody Faculty and Prep student recital. Featuring: violin, cello, voice, piano, guitar

7:30 Farewell to MDTEC alumni performance (10 minutes) - alumni - a zoom link will be sent to your email and through messenger.
