Johnny Appleseed, as portrayed by Jim Stoner, will visit the Cross House to join the Mount Gilead Founder's Day Celebration!The Cross House will be open 10 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Parts of the Morrow County Genealogical Society's Rev. Henry Shedd Collection will be on display, including the Preamble and Constitution of the Mt. Gilead Anti Slavery Society, which was signed March 16, 1840 in the midst of an egg-throwing mob.
Many other activities will be taking place in downtown Mt. Gilead throughout the day! Plan to spend the day!
