Whilst we occasionally run ticketed Friday Night Specials, entry for our regular weekly Thursday club nights is on a first-come-first-served basis and unticketed and we do not take advanced seat bookings.
Entry for regular club nights is free, we pay our guests by way of a *CASH* collection. Whilst we understand that some simply haven't the means to make a contribution and absolutely DO NOT wish to exclude them, we expect those who can to make as generous a donation as they are able in recognition of our guest's work.

Life is full of unexpected ups and downs, illness, weather and other unexpected things can spoil the best made plans. We may sometimes have to change our guest at short notice, or even cancel an evening altogether. To avoid disappointment please re-visit the relevant night's event for updates *BEFORE* setting out.
*JOHN STOREY
John's songwriting journey started in 2003 following a week long workshop with the acclaimed songwriter, Harvey Andrews. Since that time he has written many fine songs, sometimes serious, sometimes humorous, they usually reflect his observations around the Yorkshire area, together with songs of a biographical nature.John provides melodic guitar accompaniment to his songs often with easily learned choruses aimed at audience participation.
He has produced 6 studio CDs of his own material. On each album fine musicians from the York area provide outstanding accompaniment on flute, fiddle, keyboard, harp etc.
He is a regular performer and MC at York's Black Swan Folk Club, radio 2 folk club of the year a few years ago.
Having lived and worked here from 1970 until 1984, John always looks forward to performing Sheffield.
