ilium has the pleasure to host John Roseboro & Lizzy And The Palm for their debut UK show on Wednesday 24th August 2022!John Roseboro is a New York based artist who has paved the way for a new genre: Post Bossa. Roseboro's defines the genre as "budding indie/alternative music characterized by its gentle yet soulful vocal delivery and the unconventional chords and syncopation associated with bossa nova music. Post Bossa artists are often lyrical, typically focusing on universal themes, love, and religion".
With its classic guitar finger-picking combined with piano, Roseboro's musical style stands out as refreshing in modern alternative music. To top of it off, hard-hitting lyrics stand in contrast to the soft-spoken vocals that deliver them, blending to create a unique sound we're sure you'll love.
Since the Summer of 2020, Roseboro has released over 20 singles on Spotify, racking up 70,000 monthly listeners. Gaining traction quick, he released his debut album, Human Nature, in 2021, a beautiful project that contains themes of depression, joy, love, mortality and religion. Human Nature might make you cry but it'll be sure to leave you feeling positive and optimistic for what's to come. The almost 900,000 listens of his single MFL is proof of the audience Roseboro attracted in such a short time releasing music.

Lizzy And The Palm is a multi-instrumentalist that spans several genres and does so with the voice of an angel.
She can be found in different venues around Berlin with a ukulele, singing her tunes and playing the mouth trumpet to a level that'd make Miles Davis proud.
In 2021, Lizzy & John wrote and released their single La Nuit des Temps (The Dawn of Time), an incredibly beautiful song in which Lizzy sings in French to John's precise finger-picking. The love song finishes with a powerful mini-duet that showcases the chemistry these two talents harvest. Check out the tune
