On August 15 we're honored to welcome a true Chicago blues legend to our stage for the very first time - JOHN PRIMER is making his 443 debut.
John grew up on Mississippi sharecropper land before moving to Chicago in the 1960s. He went on to play with Willie Dixon's Chicago Blues All-Stars, he led Muddy Waters's band, and after Muddy's untimely death, he toured the world with Magic Slim & the Teardrops.
Primer earned 2 Grammy nominations and 2 Lifetime Achievement Awards, he was inducted into the Chicago Blues Hall of Fame, awarded the "Muddy Award" for being a traditional blues icon, won a Blues Music Award, Blues Blast Awards, and countless others. John Primer is a legendary Chicago Blues Icon.
