John Nicholson has quickly become one of the city’s most in-demand saxophonists. Known for his robust tone and lyrical improv style, the most-hired side musician at last year’s Festival has now formed his own band, gathering an all-star group of Canada’s top jazz talents to perform his original compositions. Called ”an animated soloist” by All About Jazz, Nicholson is joined by Brad Turner (piano), Chris Fraser (guitar), Conrad Good (bass), Todd Stewart (drums).
