When Jake Blues (John Belushi) is released from prison, he and brother Elwood (Dan Aykroyd) discover their childhood orphanage is in danger of being closed. They decide to raise money by putting their band back together. They may be on a "mission from God" but they're making enemies everywhere. Featuring performances by some of blues finest, James Brown, Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin and co-starring John Candy and Carrie Fisher.
